Anesthesia and Intensive Care (ATC) is the medical specialty that provides, through specific pharmaceutical and technical means, the necessary conditions for surgery, perioperative care, and other diagnostic / therapeutic procedures, the indispensable support to the critical patient for the evaluation and treatment of organ dysfunctions / injuries. Patients with impaired functions or damaged organs, which endanger their lives, are admitted to intensive care units.
